Call-to-Action (CTA) Button

The CTA button provides users with a clickable action that directs them where you want them to go. You can enable, disable, or fully customize the button for each announcement bar.

Button Configuration

Setting Description Options
Enable Button Show or hide the CTA button Enabled / Disabled
Button Text The text displayed on the button Any text (default: "Shop Now")
Button URL Where the button links to Any valid URL (internal or external)
Open Target How the link opens _self (same window) or _blank (new tab)

Default Button Text

When you create a new announcement bar, the CTA button text automatically defaults to "Shop Now". You can change this to any text that fits your announcement, such as "Learn More", "Shop Sale", "Claim Offer", or "Sign Up".

Setting Up Your CTA Button

  1. In the Content & Messaging section, locate the Call-to-Action Button area
  2. Toggle Enable Button to activate the button (enabled by default)
  3. Enter your Button Text (e.g., "Shop Sale", "Learn More", "Claim Offer")
  4. Enter the Button URL where you want to send visitors (e.g., /shop, /collections/sale, https://example.com)
  5. Select the Open Target:
    • _self: Opens the link in the same window/tab
    • _blank: Opens the link in a new tab
  6. Click Save to apply the changes

CTA Button Best Practices

  • Action-Oriented Text: Use verbs like "Shop", "Learn", "Claim", "Discover"
  • Clear Destination: Direct users to relevant pages (sale collection, product page, signup form)
  • Open Target Consideration:
    • Use _self for internal pages to keep users on your site
    • Use _blank for external links or social media to keep your site open
  • Mobile Optimization: Keep button text short for mobile readability
  • Consistent Messaging: Ensure button text aligns with the bar message

Message Rotation (Pro Feature)

Pro Feature: Message rotation is available exclusively in the Professional plan. This powerful feature allows you to display multiple rotating messages in a single announcement bar.

Unlimited Rotating Messages

With Pro, you can create up to unlimited rotating messages that automatically cycle through on your announcement bar. Each message appears for a configurable duration before transitioning to the next message.

Auto-Cycle Configuration

Setting Description Range
Cycle Duration How long each message displays before switching to the next 5-60 seconds
Transition Effect Animation when switching between messages Fade, Slide, or None
Auto-Cycle Automatically rotate through messages Enabled / Disabled

Individual Message CTAs

A key feature of message rotation is that each message can have its own unique CTA button with different text, URL, and target settings. This allows you to:

  • Display different messages leading to different pages
  • Promote multiple offers or products in one announcement bar
  • A/B test different messages and calls-to-action
  • Create dynamic customer journeys with rotating promotions

Setting Up Message Rotation

  1. Upgrade to the Professional plan to access message rotation
  2. Navigate to the Content & Messaging section
  3. Look for the Message Rotation area (Pro-only)
  4. Click Add Message to create your first rotating message
  5. Enter the message text (up to 500 characters)
  6. Configure the CTA button:
    • Enter unique button text for this message
    • Set a unique URL or destination
    • Choose the open target (_self or _blank)
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 to add additional rotating messages
  8. Set the Cycle Duration (5-60 seconds)
  9. Choose a Transition Effect (fade, slide, or none)
  10. Toggle Auto-Cycle to enable automatic rotation
  11. Click Save to activate message rotation

Message Rotation Examples

E-commerce Store:

  • Message 1: "Summer Sale: 30% off dresses" → Links to /dresses
  • Message 2: "Free shipping on orders $50+" → Links to /shop
  • Message 3: "New collection: Check out our latest styles" → Links to /new-arrivals

SaaS Product:

  • Message 1: "Limited time: Get 3 months free" → Links to /pricing
  • Message 2: "Join 10,000+ happy customers" → Links to /testimonials
  • Message 3: "14-day free trial, no credit card required" → Links to /signup

Message Rotation Best Practices

  • Keep It Consistent: Use a similar tone and style across all rotating messages
  • Vary the Offers: Highlight different products, benefits, or promotions
  • Test Cycle Duration: 10-20 seconds works well for most messages; give visitors time to read
  • Limit Rotation: 3-5 messages is usually optimal; too many can feel overwhelming
  • Align CTAs: Ensure button links match the message content
  • Monitor Performance: Check which rotating messages generate the most clicks using analytics
