Create Your First Announcement Bar

Follow these steps to have a live notification bar on your website in under 5 minutes.

Step 1: Open the Announcement Bar Editor

  1. Go to HashBar → Announcement Bars in your WordPress admin
  2. Click the Add New button
  3. Give your bar a name (e.g., "Spring Sale Bar")

Step 2: Choose a Template

The Templates tab shows 18 professionally designed templates. Click any template to apply it instantly. You can always customize it afterward.

Popular starting templates:

Step 3: Edit Your Message

  3. Add the button URL where visitors should go when they click

Step 4: Preview and Publish

The Live Preview panel on the right updates in real-time as you make changes. When you're happy with how it looks:

  1. Click Publish (or Update if editing)
  2. Visit your website to see the bar live

That's it! Your announcement bar is now live on your website.

Create Your First Popup Campaign

Step 1: Open the Popup Campaign Editor

  1. Go to HashBar → Popup Campaigns
  2. Click Add New
  3. Name your campaign (e.g., "Newsletter Signup Popup")

Step 2: Choose Campaign Type and Position

In the Basic Settings tab:

  1. Select a Campaign Type (e.g., Lead Capture)
  2. Choose a Position (e.g., Center Modal)
  3. Configure overlay and close button preferences

Step 3: Add Content

In the Content tab:

  1. Upload an image (optional but recommended)
  2. Write a compelling heading (e.g., "Get 20% Off Your First Order")
  3. Add a description
  4. Enable the CTA button

Step 4: Set a Trigger

In the Triggers tab, choose when the popup appears:

  • Immediate — Shows right away on page load
  • Time Delay — Shows after a set number of seconds
  • Exit Intent — Shows when the visitor tries to leave

Step 5: Publish

Click Publish and your popup campaign is live!
